It is a lake of glacial origin located at the foot of the snow-capped Hualcan in the Cordillera Blanca. Located
east of the City of Carhuaz, an ideal place for acclimatization and recreation for many tourists seeking adventure
in this part of the Cordillera Blanca.

Program
1 Day: City of Huaraz 3100 meters – City of Carhuaz 2600 meters – Shonguilpampa 3590 meters
- Lake 513 4460 meters (6 hours of Trekking and 6 hours of transportation). (Return to Huaraz)
Departure from the city of Huaraz at 6:00 am. Heading north along the Callejón de Huaylas to the city of Carhuaz,
then we continue the trip heading east towards the town of Hualcan following the route in the forest until we
reach Shonguilpampa 3590 m. where we begin the Trekking through the ravine appreciating a lot of vegetation such
as the Quenuales trees typical of the Andes Mountains, higher up we can see gigantic mountains such as Hualcan
6122 m, on the way we observe the melting of the mountains that give rise to beautiful waterfalls and rivers that
run through the deep valley.
Our Trekking takes 3 hours to reach Lake 513 with a height of 4460 m, where we can have a 1-hour break to eat and
take beautiful photographs of this beautiful valley nestled in the Cordillera Blanca. Then we return to the
transport for 3 hours, to return to the city of Huaraz.
